Little Mix's Jesy Nelson breaks her silence over Jake Roche split rumours
Jesy has spoken!
Rumours have been in overdrive recently that Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson and her fiancé Jake Roche have split following snaps of the singer without her engagement ring. Now, Jesy has finally broken her silence on the situation.
Responding to a question about her love life out in Australia, the 25-year-old admitted herself and Jake are ‘very much in love’ but they are taking their wedding planning very slowly and are yet to set a date.
She said, "It's funny, because when my fiancé proposed to me, he'd never done it like, 'We're getting married tomorrow.' He felt like when he called me his girlfriend, it wasn't enough.”
The ‘Shout Out To My Ex’ singer went on to add, "I think when we know, we'll know, and we'll do it, and it will probably be really intimate, hardly any people there. We're very much in love, and we'll do it when we feel the time is right."
The rumours that the pair had split started when eagle eyed fans spotted that Jesy unfollowed Jake on Twitter and Instagram, with many commenting that the pair had also been deleting posts featuring each other.
Then Jesy was spotted without her engagement ring while the girls have been over in Australia promoting their new album ‘Glory Days’.
Jake then posted three cryptic snaps of black clouds to his Instagram, leaving fans very confused…
Jesy’s bandmates Jade and Perrie will be glad the singer has broken her silence on the matter as earlier in the week the pair were forced to shut down a reporter when he tried to find out what was going on.
He asked Jade and Perrie, “why isn’t Jesy wearing her engagement ring?”, but the girls weren’t having any of it, replying “that’s brutal, that”.
Before Jade grabbed his interview sheet, screwed it up and threw it across the room. With Perrie saying “Next question sir, what are you going to do without your paper now smart a**!”
