Alex asked Nina about her new single and the meaning behind the song. She said, "Stay Out is about going out and observing lots of different people in a club, a house party or on the street. It's basically the story of a night out in the UK.'" When asked about the video for the song, Nina said, "It was filmed over two nights. The first night was me singing on the street and on the bus. The second night was basically a night out in Glasgow with all my friends that I went to school with. I just wanted something that would emphasise the funness of the song. On the subject of choosing to release an EP before her debut album, the Scot said, "The album's all written. I wanted to put another EP out because I want to put out as much music as I can. I've been writing so much that not everything is going to be put on the album. "I think Stay Out is a good song for festivals." The last track on Nina's upcoming album is a song called The People. "There's a section at the end which is a massive chant and obviously the song is called The People so I wanted to get as many voices on as possible "It started off by everyone who was involved in the album sung the chant so it sounded quite big. Then I got all my close friends and family to come on it. Then I thought 'What if I travel the country for two weeks and got loads of school kids on it?' "So I just finished that last week so now it's got over 5,000 voices on it! I just want to do something a bit different; something that no one's done before."
