The real reason why Reverend Kate hasn’t been on Gogglebox has been revealed

If you’re an avid viewer of Channel 4’s Gogglebox you would have noticed popular cast member Reverend Kate Bottley and her husband Graham haven’t appeared on the new series of the show and now the reason behind their absence has been revealed.
Don’t panic! The hilarious pair haven’t quit the show they are just taking a bit of time off to support their teenage daughter throughout her exams.
Taking to Twitter, Reverend Kate told a fan, ‘Hi, our daughter has her GCSE’s so we needed a break from the cameras’.
Kate and Graham have been popular figures of the show which has grown in popularity since it first aired on Channel 4 back in 2013.
Who can forget one of the funniest scenes on the show when the family dog accidentally knocked Graham’s tea cup?

Despite the good news that Kate and Graham haven’t left the show, viewers were left saddened at the news that loveable posh couple Steph and Dom were no longer going to appear.
The pair, who own a five-star B&B in Kent, revealed they have left the show in order to let other families have more say.
Speaking about their departure, Steph said “We think it’s important that everyone gets their chance to be on Gogglebox and give their opinion, and having been on it from the beginning we felt like we’d pretty much said all we needed to say, and we knew what we were going to say. We’ve decided to take a break from it.”

Despite this, viewers still have many hilarious families on the current series, including Leon and June, The Siddiquis, Giles and Mary and hairdressers Stephen and Christopher.
The current series of the show continues on Channel 4. Hopefully we will see Reverend Kate and her husband Graham make a return for the next series in the new year!
