What is it really like?
Summer is the season of festivals and the excitement is unbearable, but sometimes things don't go as smoothly as we had hoped.
Expectation: Buying a ticket online
Reality: The website keeps crashing
Expectation: Having an amazing time with your friends
Reality: Losing them in the crowd and spending half the day trying to find them again
Expectation: Beautiful sunshine
Reality: Horrendous downpour
Expectation: Fields of grass
Reality: Fields of mud
Expectation: Space for dancing
Reality: Crammed in a hot tent with no space to dance
Expectation: Watertight tent
Reality: Piece of tarpaulin
Expectation: Songs around a campfire
Reality: Sitting in a tent huddled together to keep warm
Expectation: 'Nice' public toilets
Reality: Portable toilets
Expectation: Flipflops or trainers
Reality: Time for socks and wellies!
Expectation: Being at the front to see your favourite bands
Reality: Being too far away to see anything
