Adele’s phenomenally successful second album ‘21’ has smashed the 10million sales barrier in America.

The heartbreak record sold 28,000 copies in the past seven days taking its total tally to a whopping 10,020,000 sales.

According to Billboard, ‘21’ is the 21st album to pass the landmark since US sales aggregator Nielsen SoundScan began tracking data in 1991.

It took ‘21’ a total of 92 weeks to reach the monumental milestone making it the third quickest to reach the 10million mark behind Backstreet Boys’ ‘Millennium’ (39 weeks) and N*Sync’s ‘No Strings Attached’ (43 weeks).
