Bomb disposal team removes 'suspicious items' from derelict property in Sighthill

Part of Edinburgh's Sighthill area was sealed off last night (Weds) after what police describe as 'suspicious items' were found in a derelict property.
They were removed by a bomb disposal team from Sighthill Loan, close to a bowling club.
The cordon has been removed but police have not yet said exactly what was found.
A statement from Police Scotland said: "Police in Edinburgh were called to a property in Sighthill Loan at about 7:45pm on Wednesday 30 August.
"Suspicious items were found in an unused property and the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) attended and removed the items.
"Cordons were put in place for a short time while the EOD assessed and removed the items.
