Teenager dies and two others critically injured after crash near Kirkcaldy

Police say an 18-year old man who was also hurt has been arrested.

A 17-year old man has died and two men, aged 17 and 18, are critically injured after a one-car accident near Kirkcaldy.

The crash happened on the A915, Standing Stane Road at around 8.45 this morning (Sun 11 Nov).

One teenager was pronounced dead at the scene and two others were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

Another 18-year old man has been arrested and is being treated for serious injuries at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

Anyone who saw a Black Vauxhall Corsa in the area around that time or anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Police
