Elton John's 'Farewell Yellow Brick Road' tour reaches Glasgow tonight with thousands set to flock to the Hydro.

The tour started back in September 2018 in the USA and will finish this July in Stockholm.

Many dates of the tour - including those in Scotland - were delayed because of the Covid-19 pandemic and because the singer had ill health.

However, the tour has finally hit Scotland with the star already having performed in Aberdeen.

No support acts have been announced - meaning it'll only be the Rocket Man singer on stage from 7.30pm.

'Elton will love the Glasgow crowd'

Emma Reid is a fan from Carluke who is heading to the Sunday show.

She said: "I'm a really big Elton fan, I've grown up listening to his music and I don't think there's anyone out there who doesn't know or like his songs.

"He just suits everyone, and I think as an artist that's very difficult to do.

"I feel quite emotional, especially because I'm going to the show on Sunday which will be the last time he will ever perform in Glasgow.

"I feel quite lucky and privileged to be one of the many thousands that are there.

"I think he'll absolutely love the Glasgow crowd.

"Any show, Glasgow gives the biggest and warmest welcome - we cheer the loudest, we clap the loudest, we dance the most - and I know for a fact that Elton will love it."
