Fourth person to be charged over shooting of Edinburgh gangster on Hogmanay

A fourth person has been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal shooting of Marc Webley on Hogmanay in Granton.

The gangland figure, who was 38, was gunned down outside the Anchor Inn pub shortly before the Bells.

He was rushed to hospital by emergency services but died a short time later.

A 39-year-old man was also taken to hospital, however, his condition is unknown.

A 20-year-old man is the latest person to have been charged in connection with the incident.

He is due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Friday.

Three others - two women and a man - have been previously charged and appeared in court.

They were released pending further enquiries.
