Workers made redundant at a Kirkcaldy furniture firm are still waiting to hear if they'll get the wages they're due.

Nearly 250 people lost their jobs when Havelock in the Mitchelston Industrial Estate went into administration last week but many say they have not been paid.

Labour MP for Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath, Lesley Laird is pushing for them to get their money.

She told Forth News, "We can all relate to the situation they find themselves in.

"If you found you are about to pay your mortgage, rent and standing orders and there is no money in your bank account, that is a bit of a shock.

"That is why it is so important that we get the right support in place"
