Experienced striker Adam Le Fondre has signed for Hibs.

The 36-year-old has signed a one year deal, with an option of extending it for a further campaign.

Le Fondre, who has been a prolific scorer throughout the years in the English football league - turning out for the likes of Reading, Cardiff and Bolton - moved to Australia in 2018 to join Sydney FC, and also had a loan spell with Mumbai City.

Having left Oz this Summer Hibs hope Le Fondre can help fill the gap left by the departing Kevin Nisbet who has joined Millwall.

Le Fondre has amassed 694 career appearances to date and bagged an impressive 273 goals.

Hibernian FC Manager Lee Johnson commented: “Adam brings craft to our new front-line and his experience and nous in the game will help develop our younger strikers.

“Throughout his career he has a proven goal scoring record and physically he’s in good shape. We look forward to working with him.”
