Published 4th Dec 2014

There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a 13-month-old girl found not breathing by nursery staff, police have said. An ambulance was called to the Careshare nursery in Morrison Street, Edinburgh, last Wednesday when it was discovered that the girl was not breathing. The child was taken to the city's Royal Hospital for Sick Children but later died, police said. The nursery was closed while the full circumstances were investigated but it has now reopened. Police said inquiries are continuing into the death but there appear to be no suspicious circumstances.
