It's a problem parents know all too well, trying to strap a tantruming toddler into a child seat.

But road safety campaigners are worried poorly fitted seats are putting lives at risk.

They have organised a series of events across Scotland to offer some guidance.

One the biggest problems is the way seat belts are connected.

The Good Egg campaign is funded by Road Safety Scotland.

Spokesman, Michael McDonnell, said: "Many parents would be horrified to learn their child car seats are not fitted properly and, therefore, not providing the protection their children need.

"This campaign seeks to highlight that, not only by raising awareness of the issue and providing advice and guidance.

"It only takes a few minutes yet could save a child’s life.
