Taxi Driver Death Treated As Suspicious

The taxi driver was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he was pronounced dead.

Police say they're treating the death of a taxi driver in Dalkeith this morning as suspicious. An alteraction took place in a taxi on Lauder Road just 1.20pm - the driver was pronounced dead at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. Officers are asking anyone was in the area to contact them.

DI Mark Henderson said: "We are currently treating this death as suspicious and we are appealing for anyone who was in the area of Lauder Road and East House Road in Dalkeith around 1.20am this morning to contact police on 101."
