Amazon depot evacuated after suspicious package found

There are dramatic scenes in Fife this evening.

The Amazon depot in Dunfermline has been evacuated, and surrounding roads cordoned off, following the discovery of a suspicious package.

Emergency services raced to the scene after the alarm was raised around 5.30pm on Sunday.

Police are awaiting the arrival of a bomb disposal team as investigations continue.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Around 5.30pm police received a report of a suspicious package found within the Amazon depot in Dunfermline.

"Emergency services are in attendance and the building has been evacuated, and a cordon put in place.

"EOD will attend to inspect the package and enquiries are ongoing."
