The King and Queen Consort are paying a visit to Wrexham Football Club today, to celebrate the town becoming a city and met Ryan Reynolds as part of the trip!

During their visit they were welcomed by the Hollywood actor and Wrexham co-owner and his business partner Rob McElhanney.

We spoke to His Majesty and asked if the club had given him a warm reception. Smiling, the King answered: "Very much so, thank you."

Ryan Reynolds has been telling us his thoughts on the trip: "It's the heart of Wrexham. Rob and I both said early on that this holds true and for the rest of our lives we will do anything to uplift and elevate this community and this club, and to have the King pay a visit is certainly one way to do it that's for sure."

Rob McElhanney told us: " We hope that he's a fan. If not we'll make him a fan. I think anytime you step onto this pitch it's hard not to become a fan."

King Charles came to Cardiff only a few months ago where he held a private audience with the First Minister, Mark Drakeford, and the Llywydd of the Senedd, Elin Jones.

Some members of the public were granted entry into Cardiff Castle to see Their Majesties as they took part in their final engagement of the day. This was on a first come first serve basis.

After the service, His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort traveled to the Senedd in the afternoon to receive a Motion of Condolence from the First Minister.

Upon the King's second visit to Wales, Rob McElhanney said: " We have a very well written, hand written note. Although my handwriting is terrible"

In response Ryan said: " He dots all of his 'i's with hearts and everything, it's really adorable."
