As baby loss awareness week comes to an end - we've been told support for bereaved parents needs to be quicker.

We've been speaking Ryan and Amy Jackson, who set up the Lily Mae Foundation back in 2012.

This was after their daughter was born at 37 weeks and died in 2010.

They're working with midwives in hospitals across the West Midlands to offer sessions for bereaved parents.

Memory boxes are also being put into the hospital to allow the parents to collect memories and precious items and store them.

Ryan and Amy have told us though some parents are having to spend weeks and even months on waiting lists, because there's still not enough support is available

15 babies a day are stillborn or die within 4 weeks of birth. One-third – which is around 1,200 babies every year – die after a full-term pregnancy (37 or more weeks).

Ryan and Amy say they're committed to raising awareness of pregnancy and baby loss which affects up to one in five families in the UK.

The foundation have arranged with the Town Hall, Symphony Hall and Library of Birmingham to light up the buildings in pink and blue later, to mark the International Wave of Light and the end of babyloss awareness week.
