The family of a little girl from Wolverhampton who can’t walk or talk - but loves to dance - is hoping to raise £16,000 for a ‘life-changing’ operation.

Seven-year-old Tia isn’t eligible for the operation on the NHS, because of her level of disability, but her family is determined to raise the funds as it could increase her mobility, or even allow her to talk.

“She’s very cheeky, loves to laugh at other children when they’re being naughty, it’s her favorite thing to do,” says mum Lizzie. “She’s got cerebral palsy, epilepsy, asthma … all sorts of things… but she does live life to the full… she won’t not try, she’ll give it a go no matter what it is.”

The operation would help to relax Tia’s nerves - and the procedure has made massive differences to the lives of other children who have gone through it.

“It would be amazing, because Tia wouldn’t be in any more pain,” says her grandma, Melanie. “At the moment, she’s in pain, she has muscle spasms, and she looks really uncomfortable. So if the only thing that was better would be that she was in no more pain, then that would be a miracle.”

The fundraising page has already raised nearly £6,000.
