Man, 20, arrested after 51-year-old injured on Peterhead street

A man has been arrested after a 51-year-old was injured on a Peterhead street.

Emergency services responded to calls of an injured man on Longate at around 8.45am on Tuesday 19 March.

He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

A 20-year-old has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are continuing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.45am on Tuesday, 19 March, 2024 we were called to a report of an injured man on Longate, Peterhead.

“Officers attended and the 51-year-old was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.

“A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.”
