Police were called to a disturbance involving a 'number of people' on a city centre street this afternoon.

Officers were made aware of the incident on Gerrard Street, which joins onto George Street, at around 1pm.

The nature of the incident remains unclear but enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were made aware of a disturbance involving a number of people in the Gerrard Street area of Aberdeen around 1pm on Monday, 4 March.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”

The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
