A 36-year-old man has died in hospital after being assaulted in North Ayrshire over the weekend.
Officers were called out to New England Road in Saltcoats on Sunday February, 4.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers are investigating the death of a man following a report of an assault on New England Road, Saltcoats on Sunday, 4 February, 2024.
“The 36-year-old man died in hospital on Tuesday, 6 February.
“His death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
