Stuart Findlay secures Kilmarnock return

The defender has joined on a season-long loan from Oxford United

Stuart Findlay has sealed his return to Kilmarnock on a season-long loan deal.

The Scotland cap left Rugby Park for Philadelphia Union back in 2021.

Findlay then returned to the UK to play for Oxford United last summer, where he will join Kilmarnock from on a temporary deal.

A club statement read: "Kilmarnock FC are delighted to reveal that Stuart Findlay has returned to the club on a season-long loan deal, pending SFA approval.

"A familiar face at Rugby Park, the defender enjoyed two previous loan spells with the club in 2015/16 and 2017/18, before joining on a permanent deal the following season.

"Stuart established himself as a fan favourite in the heart of defence, playing a vital role as the club achieved back-to-back record-breaking points totals, and an unforgettable third-place finish.

"The 6’3 centre-back also received international recognition during his previous spell at the club, scoring on his Scotland debut at Hampden Park in October 2019, prior to moving stateside to link up with Philadelphia Union in the MLS.

"The 27-year-old now rejoins Killie on loan from Oxford United, having returned to the UK to sign for the EFL League One side last Summer.

"Everyone at Kilmarnock FC would like to wish Stuart a warm welcome back home.
