From churches to homeless charities - £24k in emergency funding has been handed out in Aylesbury.
The cash comes from the town's Community Board and has been used to support services through the pandemic.
Groups to benefit include:
Vineyard Storehouse - £4k
With an increase in demand, and reduced supplies, funding was allocated to provide additional food purchases and delivery support for vulnerable residents.
Bedgrove Volunteers - £2k
Funding used to support the Bedgrove Volunteers to continue to support their local community throughout the pandemic. Funding covered costs for PPE, and the set up of Covid helpline and shopping service.
Aylesbury Mosque - £2k
Funding was required to provide food & essential supplies to vulnerable residents during lockdown.
The Oasis Partnership - £2k
Funding was required to help feed and house the homeless during the Covid-19 crisis. The money was used to supplement housing, advice, counselling and feeding vulnerable people, who are adversely affected by the crisis.
