Aylesbury residents have been thanked for their community support this year.

Rob Butler, MP, has thanked Aylesbury residents for the hard work they have put in during 2020 to help others and prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Rob was elected last December and says its not they year anyone expected:

"We started the year with lots of promise and we were really looking forward to ne promises and ideas we hoped to bring in as a government both locally and nationally.

"Fairly quickly things were turned on their head by coronavirus and that really has dictated what we have done for the year in our home, our jobs, in our leisure times and with our families.

"I think that it has been an extremely positive time in one respect, because what we have seen is a fantastic community spirit in the face of coronavirus.

"We have seen volunteers offer their time, their resources, and their skills to help others. We've seen neighbours looking out for one another in a way perhaps we had lost. We've really seen a fantastic community spirit and it's one of the things I hold on to."
