A man from Bucks has been convicted of drug offences - after cash, mobile phones and cannabis were found in a car he was in.

Tommy Taylor, aged 21, of Layters End, Chalfont St Peter, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B, namely cannabis, at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Friday (10/6).

He is due to be sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.

At around 10.55am on 3 April 2019, officers executed a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at Taylor’s address.

A quantity of drugs was located, along with scales and other items used for drug dealing, and officers arrested Taylor.

Then, at around 6.30pm on 18 November 2020, a vehicle with Taylor inside tried to evade police on Layters End.

When the vehicle eventually stopped, there was a strong smell of cannabis so officers searched it.

Officers found a quantity of cash and mobile phones in the vehicle, as well as a quantity of cannabis in Taylor’s possession, so officers arrested him again.

Taylor was charged on 5 May this year.

Investigating officer police investigator Debbie Parker-Boyes said: “Thames Valley Police will not tolerate drug-dealing on its patch.

“We will continue to target offenders and protect our communities from the harm they cause."
