A Buckinghamshire Pub is just one having to adapt during the second lockdown.

The Bell at Harwick, in Aylesbury Vale, has been forced to close as part of the month long lockdown that came into force yesterday.

Their kitchen will be running a take away service, where people can order a meal to collect.

As well as this, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays they will be opening their 'Lockdown shop.

Where locals can either order items to be collected at a certain time, arrange for a delivery or drop in during their opening times.

Lucy is a general manager there and says keeping going was important:

"As a local pub we know locals on a personal level as well as a customer level. So we want to make sure they have everything they need and they're all okay.

"We just want to be here for the locals and customers who help us when we are open."

Lucy is encouraging other local businesses across Buckinghamshire to try whatever they need to get through this time.

She says trying new things and adapting can keep your business going while staying Covid safe.

But, Lucy says that only works if people support these businesses:

"Please, please support local. We don't have the great big investments that bigger retail shops do.

"We are likely a lot safer than the bigger shops with hundreds of people in and we would really appreciate people shopping local to keep our environment going and make sure these business are here after lockdown."
