Buckinghamshire Council has signed a letter of intent to explore ways in to convert its vehicle fleet to zero-emission electric power.

They will work in partnership with Lunaz, who are world leaders in vehicle restoration and electrification.

In a letter signed by Council leader, Martin Tett and founder of Lunaz, David Lorenz, the plan outlines the council's commitment to finding greener options for its vehicles.

It comes as the 'Green Wheels In Motion' event hosted by Bucks Council at Silverstone was live-streamed to the UN Cop26 Climate Conference in Glasgow.

The event showcased a number of innovative technologies from a range of companies that are being developed or deployed in the county.

October saw the council formally approve its strategy to deal with the climate crisis.

The aim is to cut carbon emissions by 75% by 2030 and become net-zero no later than 2050.
