Hertfordshire Police try to trace owner after dog attack

Police are appealing for help as they try to trace the owner of a dog after a man was attacked in Hertfordshire.
The incident occurred in Elstree Hill South, at around 3.15pm on Wednesday 25 August.
A man was walking along the footpath with his wife when he saw two females approaching, with their dogs both on leads.
As they passed each other, one of the dogs, reported to have been a Doberman, jumped up at the man and caused a wound to his arm which started to bleed heavily.
The victim wrapped a jacket around the wound and sought hospital treatment.
PC Kim Aylward-Jones, who is investigating, said: “We have made attempts to trace the owner of the dog but have so far been unsuccessful. We are continuing to appeal for her, or the second woman to please come forward.
“We would also like to hear from anyone else who may have seen the incident, or might have seen the dogs in the area prior to it. Any information at all could assist our enquiries.”
