A man has been jailed for drug offences in High Wycombe.

Elsi Cela, aged 21, of London Road, High Wycombe, was sentenced to four months in prison and given a deportation order at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Cela pleaded guilty to one count of being concerned in the production of cannabis.

Police forced entry to a property in London Road on Thursday morning where Cela was arrested.

Officers located around 250 cannabis plants in the property, capable of producing around £400,000 per year.

Police Sergeant Kristopher Lovell, of the Problem Solving Team, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “Illegal drug production will not be tolerated by Thames Valley Police and I hope this sentence reflects the seriousness of this offending.

“This sentencing and seizure were partly the result of intelligence provided by a member of the public so I’d like to thank them for supporting our investigation.

“I would also encourage anyone with information about criminal activity to tell police as this shows that we do act on it.

“You can do so on our website or by calling 101. You can also report information anonymously by calling independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
