Man sentenced for drugs offences in Chesham

A man has been sentenced for drugs offences in Chesham.
Afran Khalid, aged 29, of Brockhurst Road in Chesham, was sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court on Friday (23 July) to three years and nine months in prison, after he pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
On 10 June, Khalid was arrested after the execution of a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at an address on Chalk Hill, Chesham.
As a result of the warrant, a quantity of cocaine and crack cocaine as well as cash and other property was seized.
Bailey was remanded to High Wycombe Magistratesâ Court where he entered a guilty plea, before being sentenced on Friday.
Investigating officer, PC James Devonald of the Chiltern & South Bucks Stronghold team, said:
"I am pleased that we have swiftly brought Khalid to justice, and he has been sentenced to prison as a result.
"Khalidâs arrest was as a result of an intelligence-led drugs warrant, and I hope that our actions will send a stern message to others who seek to deal drugs in our communities that we will never tolerate such criminal activity.
"Thames Valley Policeâs Stronghold teams will proactively and robustly pursue drug dealers, who cause such great harm to our communities, often targeting and exploiting vulnerable individuals.
"We remain committed to removing drugs and drug dealers from our communities and we will continue to seek, disrupt, and make the Thames Valley a hostile place for serious and organised criminals to commit such acts."
