Police appeal for witnesses of kidnap in High Wycombe

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to a possible kidnapping in High Wycombe.

Officers received a report from a member of the public after seeing a woman being put into a vehicle by two men.

It happened on Totteridge Road between 9.40pm and 10pm on Wednesday (23 March).

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Steven Ring based at Amersham police station, said: “I realise this will be a distressing incident for people in the local area.

“Members of the public are likely to see an increased police presence as we carry out our enquiries.

“We are carrying out a thorough investigation in relation to this incident but as of yet a victim has not yet come forward.

“We believe this was an isolated incident and there is no wider risk to the public.

“I am particularly keen to speak to anyone who believe they are the female, or one of the two men involved in the incident.

“We would also like to speak to anyone who either witnessed or has dash-cam footage from the area.
