The race is on to raise £35,000 for a final fight against a big development in Aylesbury.

The Hampden Fields Action Group say genuine concerns - including extra pressures on health services - have been ignored in giving the plans the green light.

They need to raise the cash by next Monday to be able to launch legal action.

The Hampden Fields Action Group say:

"Having completely ignored, patronised, dismissed and belittled the public, all elected representatives and council officers have paid lip service and done nothing.

"They have now called our bluff and our only hope is to bring a Judicial Review within the next few weeks.

"The HFAG committee has met and discussed this at length. We are incredibly conscious that many of you have previously donated (possibly multiple times) but we have to level with people:

"We have a great case but the reality is that unless we can raise a minimum of £35,000 by end of Monday 12th July the campaign for Hampden Fields is lost. Don't be fooled by the council's totally misleading press releases - in the areas of Healthcare, Education and Transport their case is seriously lacking - we are in a strong position if we can raise this money."

When Bucks Council gave planning permission, developers promised to work with locals to iron out issues.
