It follows an incident at the King George V playing fields.

It was reported that a man and a woman aged in their 50s were out walking their dog when they were involved in a verbal altercation with an unknown group of people, at around 6.10pm on Friday 24 June.

The woman was then physically assaulted by a female, sustaining ABH level injuries.

The teenage male and woman are described black – the teenager was aged in his late teens and the female believed to be aged in her 40s or 50s.

PC Anthony Muller, who is investigating, said: “Enquiries have been carried out to try and trace those involved and these are continuing at this time.

“As part of the investigation, I am appealing for independent witness accounts and would ask anyone who saw the incident to please come forward.”
