Bucks, Beds, and Herts is once again being impacted by train strikes as 40,000 workers walk out over pay, jobs, and conditions.

Passengers across all three counties are being urged to travel only if absolutely necessary as Network Rail and operating companies are running a severely reduced service. They are advised to check ahead that their intended trains are running on the National Rail website.

The one-day walk out from Rail, Maritime and Transport Union (RMT) members follows on from week-long strikes last month. Members of train drivers union Aslef will also hold a strike of their own on Saturday 30 July.

Further strikes by the RMT will go ahead on Thursday 18 August and Saturday 20 August, which are being co-ordinated across Network Rail and other train operating companies.
