Sexual assault on teen in Hatfield
Police appeal for witnesses
Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a sexual assault in Hatfield yesterday (Monday 15 May).
A teenage girl was followed by a man along Crop Common and onto Stonecross Road, at around 4.50pm, before he touched her inappropriately.
The man is described as a black male, wearing all black clothing, with chin length braided hair and was riding a black bicycle.
Police Constable Sam Grint, who is investigating, said: “The incident is reported to have occurred in a residential area, so I am keen to gather any information. No matter how big or small you think it is, it can always help an investigation.
“Understandably, the girl who was involved in this incident was very shaken up and upset about what happened. We are currently carrying out extensive enquiries to establish the circumstances around what happened and to trace the man involved".
