Basingstoke Community Awards are launched

Organisers say this year's awards are even more important due to the work that has gone on during the pandemic

The 18th ‘A Place to be Proud of Awards’ has been launched for 2021.

The Awards celebrate the many people and organisations that make a special contribution to the community and organisers say following the year we've just had the awards come "at a time when we are all more aware, grateful and keen to say thank you for their efforts."

Nominations are invited for individuals, organisations and projects. There are a range of categories, including some new ones for 2021 - all sponsored by local businesses and organisations that value the key role our community plays in our lives in Basingstoke and Deane.

Destination Basingstoke are delighted to welcome a number of new sponsors this year as well as others that have offered support to the awards for many years.

Closing date is 31st March 2020.

Ceremony

The Awards ceremony will be held virtually on the 29th April, and will be available for anyone to watch.
