Still time to enter Basingstoke Half-Marathon

This year's event is being held over the next two weeks

The Basingstoke virtual marathon, half marathon and 10k are underway from Sunday 4th October until Sunday 18th October, but it is not too late to enter and join the fun.

This year the Basingstoke races have had to go virtual, and are in good company with the Virtual London Marathon also taking place on 4th October. The difference is that with the Basingstoke races, you have 2 weeks to complete the course, and can enter right up to the last minute.

Runners will submit details of their run to be included in the race results to be published once the race has finished, with medals posted out after.

Virtual races have become a very popular way of putting lockdown training to good use, with the reward of a medal and the same sense of achievement but without the risks of running in a mass event.

Anyone that enters will be helping both St Michael’s Hospice and not-for-profit organisers, Destination Basingstoke keep doing their work in the borough - and everyone will earn a special medal.

Entry for the normal 2021 Basingstoke Half Marathon and 10k is already open for 3 October 2021 for those that like to plan ahead.
