Autistic adults can get advice about aspects of autism and navigating daily life and social situations at free online advice workshops from the Berkshire Adult Autism Support Service, starting tomorrow (Tues) 23rd.

The aim of the workshops is to help participants to improve their understanding of autism and increase their self-confidence. They are open to people aged 18+, who have an autism diagnosis or are waiting for assessment and are registered as a patient at an NHS GP surgery in Berkshire.

The workshops, which will take place on Tuesdays between noon and 2pm, are as follows:

▪ Sensory Differences: April 23

▪ Planning & Organising: April 30

▪ Anxiety & Autism: May 14

▪ Understanding Other People: May 21

Information about the content of these workshops is available at [https://www.autismberkshire.org.uk/community-learning-for-autistic-adults/](https://www.autismberkshire.org.uk/community-learning-for-autistic-adults/ |newtab)

Expert advice

Autism Berkshire’s chief executive officer, Jane Stanford-Beale MBE, said:

“More autistic adults are requesting help from the service all the time, so these workshops are an opportunity for them to benefit from expert advice about a number of key topics from our adult support team.”

The service will be running some autism advice workshops tailored for the parents and carers of autistic adults in June.
