It might be Spring but the current cold snap could bring snow showers to Berkshire and North Hampshire later.

The Met Office predicts dry and sunny, but cold, conditions this morning followed by snow showers later this afternoon.

It says highs of 7 °C are forecast across the South East, but a strong northerly wind will "bring a significant wind chill."

The showers are expected to die away by this evening, with lighter winds, leaving a clear but very cold night with frosty conditions and lows of -4 °C.

It is warmer tomorrow with plenty of sunshine and temperatures up in double digits - with highs of 10 °C.

The Met Office's outlook for Thursday to Saturday: Dry but becoming largely cloudy on Thursday, feeling slightly milder. Cloudy but bright on Friday, some rain later. Rain clearing east on Saturday, then sunny with showers. Feeling colder.
