Police in Andover appeal after two assaults on boy

Investigators particularly want to trace a van driver who helped the victim

Police are investigating two assaults in the Andover area and are appealing for witnesses.

The assaults happened on Wednesday 13 December 2023, between 10.30pm and 11pm, in two separate locations.

It was reported that a 17-year-old boy from Andover was walking home when he was approached by two males and assaulted on a foothpath near the car park of Churchill Retail Park on Watery Lane.

Shortly after, the male was assaulted again by the same suspects. The second assault happened on River Way, Andover, near the Waterworks.

The boy suffered minor injuries as a result.

Police are also looking to identify the driver of a grey van who helped the victim after the incident and anyone else that may have witnessed the assault.
