Police issue CCTV images after assault in Reading

Victim is still receiving hospital treatment

Police are releasing images of a man officers would like to speak to as he may have vital information about an assault in Reading.

The incident occurred on Saturday (17/02) around 4am on Friar Street, outside The Hope Tap. The victim, a man in his thirties was assaulted and hit his head on the pavement.

The victim is still receiving hospital treatment.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Alexander Willis said:

“I am appealing to anybody who recognises the individual in these images to please get in touch with us as we believe he may have vital information about this incident.

“If you are pictured, please come forward as soon as possible.

"I would also like to appeal to anybody in the pub or surrounding area who may have witnessed this or has any information regarding this incident, to please get in touch.
