A date for Wokingham Half-Marathon has been confirmed.

The 13.1 mile race, which has been an annual sell-out since 1984, will take place on Sunday 19 September. Starting and finishing at Cantley Park.

Wokingham Borough Council say planning is well underway to ensure that all stringent Covid-19 safety rules are observed, with a 100% refund guarantee in case of a cancellation.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be able to confirm the good news - Wokingham Half Marathon is set to return to the streets of our borough later this year,” said Graham Ebers, Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Resources and Assets, at Wokingham Borough Council.

“With the ongoing pandemic and restrictions on live events, it’s been a tough year for so many of our residents. I’d like to take this opportunity to invite all runners to the race, our route is equally as suitable to established runners, as it is for those looking to complete their first official half-marathon. I’m hoping for fantastic weather on the day and plenty of cheerful atmosphere throughout. ”

Fancy dress

Organisers are encouraging runners to put on a fancy dress, support a great cause or donate to one of the charities suggested by the organisers.
