Man has ear bitten off during assault in Reading bar

Police in Reading are appealing for information after a man had his ear bitten off at a bar in the town.

At around 1am on Saturday 25 March, three men assaulted another man in the Coconut Bar in St Marys’ Butts.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was punched to the face and suffered a serious injury to his ear, with it being bitten off by one of the offenders.

He was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.

Detective Constable Michael Hope of CID based at Reading, said:

“This was a horrendous attack, which has left the victim with permanent damage.

“We are releasing images of three men who we believe may have information in connection with this incident.
