Baseball bat used in Reading park attack

The victim in his 30s had his phone stolen during the assault

A man in his 30s has been left injured after a group of men, armed with a baseball bat, robbed him in Reading on Wednesday (1st November).

At around 3.15pm the victim was assaulted in the Prospect Park car park on the junction of Cockley Hill with Honey End Lane. His black Android phone was stolen.

The victim attended hospital but did not require treatment.

The offenders are described as two white men and two Asian men. They were seen to exit a light coloured vehicle.

Investigating officer, PC Kirstie House, based at Reading police station, said:

“We are appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident, or who may have information about what happened, to please get in touch.
