Man suffers serious stab wounds in Basingstoke during assault

A 17 year old boy had been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Basingstoke which left two people injured.

Officers were called to St Peters Road in South Ham at around 3:15pm yesterday afternoon (26 April).

A 28-year-old man with stab wounds was taken to hospital to be treated, his injuries are serious but not considered life threatening.

A 23-year-old woman had an injury to her hand, she was also treated at hospital but has since been discharged.

A 17-year-old boy from Basingstoke has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and he remains in custody.

Hampshire Police are asking any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the area to come forward.

They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has footage showing a boy in a grey tracksuit riding an e-scooter.
