Two men hurt in fight outside Basingstoke railway station

Police are investigating what caused it

Police in Basingstoke say they are trying to find out what caused a fight outside the railway station.

It happened at 1045 on Saturday evening at the taxi rank.

Two men in their thirties suffered facial injuries that required hospital treatment.

It was reported that a group of males approached another group of people and a fight then took place.

A 35-year-old man and a 36-year-old man, both from Basingstoke, sustained facial cuts which required treatment at hospital.

No arrests have been made.

Police say they are investigating the circumstances of the incident, and want to hear from anyone who saw what took place.

They believe there were a lot of people in that area at the time.
