Reading Football club is to mark the death of the Queen and honour the new King before kick off against Sunderland at the SCL stadium on Wednesday night.

In a statement they said:

"We would like to invite both home and away supporters on Wednesday night to join with us in observing a minute's silence in memory of Her late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

"The one minute's silence will then be followed by the National Anthem, 'God Save The King'.

"Players and coaching staff from both sides will wear black armbands when we take on Sunderland at the Select Car Leasing Stadium on Wednesday evening and flags will fly at half mast."

The club has also said the matchday build-up will not involve the music as they aim to make the atmosphere 'an appropriate one for such an occasion'. Half-time activities and playlist will also be scaled back.

The big screen will also feature some messages of condolence from Royals fans, young and old. They're asking fans to submit messages online.
