Woman sexually assaulted in village near Basingstoke

The victim in her twenties managed to fight off her attacker

Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a sexual assault in Odiham.

Just before 1am on Saturday 19 February, a woman in her 20s was approached by a man and sexually assaulted in an alleyway between Church Street and Alton Road.

During the incident, the woman was able to fend off the man and run away.

The suspect is described as being a white man, aged between 30 and 40 and 6ft tall. He is of skinny build and has dark hair. He was wearing a dark shirt and jeans.

Officers have launched an investigation and are appealing for information and witnesses to come forward.
