Man seriously injured in Andover town centre fight

Two men from the town have been arrested

A man's been seriously injured after a fight in Andover town centre.

Police say they were called to London Street just before 430 on Wednesday afternoon and found a 54-year-old man with a head wound.

On arrival, officers located a 54-year-old man with a head wound. He has been taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are considered serious but not life-threatening at this time.

A 23-year-old man and a 48-year-old man, both from Andover, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. The 48-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis.

They both remain in custody at this time.
