Thieves escape with 7.5 tonne truck following latest raid on businesses along A68 corridor

A seven-and-a-half tonne lorry has been stolen during a series of raids on business premises in Jedburgh.
Thieves targeted Bankhead Industrial Estate, on the town's Edinburgh Road, overnight last night (Wednesday).
It's the latest of a series of high-value thefts from businesses along the A68 corridor in recent weeks.
And police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
Detective Constable Liam Myres, from Police Scotland, said: “Our enquiries are currently ongoing. We know that security was breached in multiple businesses and access has been gained to their yards.
“The industrial estate is just off the A68, the main route through Jedburgh. We would appeal to anyone who was in the area last night between 10pm and 11.30pm, who may have seen something out of the ordinary in the area, maybe people or vehicles in the estate or driving at speed from the area on to the A68.
"If you have dash-cam footage from the road between those times please let police know. It may be that footage has been captured that could assist our investigation."

The first break-in was reported shortly before 5am this morning (Thursday).
But CCTV shows a white MAN 7.5 tonne lorry, with the logo ‘J Borthwick Ltd’ on the side, being taken from a catering business around 11pm. It was last seen heading south on the cross-border route.
Last month £35,000 worth of tools and vehicles were stolen during a raid on an agricultural engineering business at the side of the A68 in St Boswells.
Among the items taken were a Toyota pick-up, a blue Transit, a 16ft trailer, generators, strimmers and even diesel from tractors.
That came less than a fortnight after thieves stole 23,000 litres of heating oil from a fuel depot just up the road in Newtown St Boswells.
It's unclear if they are being linked.
